Showcasing Creative Marketing Content for Career Growth in Media and Business Solutions

Welcome to my Portfolio!

I am a marketing and media professional with a diverse skillset ranging from creative content production, media management, and broadcast production to digital marketing strategy.

My knowledge and experience dates back to 2018, when I was a freshman at the University of Maryland. Going into that first year, I had my first experience with a CMS (Wordpress), where I ran my own blog following the Chicago White Sox. I turned this experience into my first writing and reporting experience at Maryland Baseball Network (MBN). At MBN, I began as a staff writer and reporter where I would run our social media accounts during games, publish game stories, and pitch my own content ideas to help the platform grow. This was also my first experience applying SEO best practices to digital content to ensure our site reaches our audience.

At the same time, I worked for Big Ten Network as a production assistant where I got hands-on experience working in a sports production environment. I switched off operating broadcast cameras, replay, score bug, graphics, and tricaster.

I worked at both Big Ten Network and MBN until my junior year when I was promoted to managing editor at MBN. At that point, MBN became my main focus as I led all writing operations as well as our website and socials.

In the summer of 2021, I was brought on as a production intern at Nats Chat, a new and quickly rising Washington Nationals podcast. Here, I produced episodes, worked to provide talking points and analytics for the hosts, and ran social media during Nationals games.

By this time, I had a great grasp on Adobe Audition and Photoshop, but my greatest leap came after graduating with my bachelor’s degree in journalism. I was hired as an associate producer at DC News Now, and quickly learned my way around the news system ENPS before being promoted to editor. As editor, I quickly became very experienced with Adobe Premier and consequently an integral part of the newsroom as the only editor for six hours of news.

It was at this point that I began pursuing my MBA at Johns Hopkins University focusing on a specialization in digital marketing. With this specialization, I have sought to blend my marketing knowledge with my technical knowhow in media with aspirations of becoming a leader in this industry.

As I near the conclusion of my MBA, I have made the leap from the newsroom to our marketing department at Nexstar Media, where I now produce marketing content for over 100 stations under Nexstar’s ownership, including top markets in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC.

This brings us to today as I continue to churn out high-quality content while inching closer to becoming a marketing leader in the media industry!
